Twice a month – 2nd Mondays & 4th Tuesdays – some of us visit the residents of Independence Court in Quakertown. The kids bring something interesting to show to the residents or perform skits or magic tricks, tell jokes, bring small pets, etc… We usually stay for about an hour. The residents really enjoy some time with young people.
If you'd like to join us we meet at 10:30am in the lobby. Independence Court is located on Park Avenue in Quakertown, across from the Grundy House. The more, the merrier!
We also donate food & sundry items to the Quakertown Food Pantry. Donations can be brought to our Game Days or Park Days. Everyone is welcome to visit the food pantry when the donation is delivered.
HSBG Club also collects used eyeglasses in conjunction with Lenscrafters' "Gift of Sight" program.
If you have a community sevice project that you would like to promote; or an idea for a community service project that you think the children would be interested in, please contact Betty or Michele via e-mail or through the Forum section of the site. Thank you!
All field trips and activities listed on this website are open to everyone. Field trips and activities may have age limits, attendance caps, and/or other criteria; please read information carefully.
Everyone is welcome - and encouraged! – to send in submissions for the website. Upcoming local events, interesting tidbits are welcome. Anything that your child has done that you’d like to share is welcome. Contact Michele

The HomeSchool Boys & Girls Club is an informal group of homeschooling families based primarily in the Upper Bucks area. We don't schedule regular meetings; a weekly e-mail (during the school year) newsletter keeps members updated on current community service projects, activities, and field trips. HSBG Club believes in fostering a sense of community & friendship for our kids to grow into healthy, well-rounded citizens. To that end we have a "sister-group" in the Perkiomen Valley area - Valley Homeschoolers, and you'll notice that some of the activities listed are under another group's banner. We feel the homeschool community is stronger when we work together.
HSBG Club is an inclusive group. We know that people of different faiths recognize the value of homeschooling and we would hope that people of all faiths feel comfortable joining our group.
If you're visiting our site for the first time or just haven't gotten to it yet, please sign our guestbook and let us know what you think of this website!
To join the HomeSchool Boys & Girls Club, please print out the membership on the last page of this website and mail it to the address provided -- or use the link to our Yahoo group above. For more information, contact Michele mbuono66@yahoo.com or Betty mom2srr17@comcast.net.
